Being that the iPad and iPhone use the same OS, it is very likely that the exact same method to jailbreak the iPhone will be used in an jailbreak for the iPad. Currently, the iPhone OS is up to 3.1.3 while the iPad OS is running on OS 3.2. It does not appear that it will be too much longer until the same methods used to jailbreak the iPhone OS 3.2
