While the guys at Gizmodo are no doubt riding the roller coaster of their iPhone prototype purchase and subsequent unveiling last week -- including a big dark drop into a gut-wrenching chance someone will face criminal charges for buying found or stolen property -- let's take a step back to consider the craziness here.
