Well, it turns out that there is in fact a reception issue with the iPhone 4 and Apple has offered advice on how to solve it. Chances are, you are probably not going to like what they said.

I installed the new iPad OS update on both iPad 3G units we have, and so far so good. The update process doesn't seem to have broken anything, and I SEEM to be getting better wifi.... DVD to iPad DVD to iPad Mac iPad transfer iPod transfer iPad Mac transfer iPad video converter Mac iPad ConverterMy wifi indicators used to go to 1 bar from 3 bars pretty randomly, and now it seems to be holding it's own... VERY EARLY THOUGH... the jury is still out for a few days... But in general, it doesn't seem to have broken anything!
