Does ASUS Transformer Prime play MKV 1080p HD video?
Is Transformer Prime to play MKV 1080p contents? If yes, why should my TF Prime play MKV without audio? And some MKV files play in slow motion?
The fact is, Transformer Prime plays MKV files, but not all of them. MKV is only a container format that envelopes video, audio and subtitle. In order to watch MKV on TF Prime properly, you need to make sure that the MKV contents are encoded with supported codec, e.g. H.264/AAC. Otherwise you'll need to do some conversion like below.
Convert/Compress/Shrink 1080p HD MKV for ASUS Transformer Prime
Step 1. Run the MKV to Android converter app, and click the "Add" icon to load 1080p MKV movie.
Step 2. Click "Format" bar and select a playable format for Nook Tablet, and here you're suggested to choose "Android>> Iconia Tab A500 H.264 Video(*.mp4)" format. The format shrinks big MKV file to proper file size for playback on Transformer Prime with acceptable codec.
