"If i convert WMA to MP3 will i loose sound quality? Getting a ipod classic since its only music player that has 160 gig's which i need for all my music. But i ripped all my music over the years with windows and wma files format. now i just found out apple ipod's won't play wma files. so if i convert with itunes or another program will i loose sound quality of the file?"
to enjoy your WMA on your iPod, mobile phone or other MP3 players, the only solution for this is to use a .WMA to .MP3 Converter. But do remember this: never lose the audio quality and make the conversion occupy you much time!
To add your original WMA songs to the program, you are provided two options: directly drag & drop your files to the Mac app, or go up to the top menu bar, click on File, choose Load Media Files under Import section.

Customize the output format: MP3
At the bottom part of the converter, there is a row of output formats divided into several sections. You can find MP3 format under the audio icon. You will be able to customize the format parematers if you feed the need to change some format parameters. Just click the Settings icon in the format.
Down to the bottom of the Mac Converter, click the Convert button, leave the rest to be done by the Mac Video Converter automatically.
Windows Media Audio (WMA) is an audio data compression technology developed by Microsoft. The name can be used to refer to its audio file format or its audio codecs. It is a proprietary technology that forms part of the Windows Media framework. WMA consists of four distinct codecs. The original WMA codec, known simply as WMA, was conceived as a competitor to the popular MP3 and RealAudio codecs.[1][2] WMA Pro, a newer and more advanced codec, supports multichannel and high resolution audio.
