You can already read Kindle books on your iPhone through Amazon's Kindle for iPhone App. It's also been widely rumoured that iPhone apps will be able to run on the iSlate. So if you had the choice would you buy an iSlate that can run the hundreds of thousands of iPhone Apps or the Kindle device that still has apps to be developed.
