The world wide total of internet connected devices (iPhones, personal computers, security systems, bank atm machines etc.) will this month pass the 5 Billion mark and could reach as high as 22 Billion by 2020. At the same time a new prediction has suggested that IPv4 internet addresses could run out as soon as February next year.
