Upload Canon 7D video clips from Aperture to SmugMug on Mac

Summary: In order to edit Canon 7D MOV clips in Apple Aperture smoothly without codec problems, and then upload to Smugmug for sharing, you can follow this post to laern the best and easy way.

"My 7d is somewhat new. I just started using the video clips for my sons soccer. I use smugmug and this is what I want to ultimately upload them to. My son would also like to email a few. But, the 7D format is not converting or allowing me to do much of anything with. I can export a clip from the memory card to my Mac- to Aperture- to desktop and then slowly load them to smugmug. But, there has to be easier way. I swear I loaded a 7D clip from my memory card to Aperture to desktop to the Pavtube trial and it worked great."

As the Apple Aperture can't support Canon 7D MOV video footages well due to codec reason, and Canon 7D H.264 MOV video format is not friendly for Apple Aperture, it's a good choice to convert Canon 7D MOV to Apple Aperture best supported video formats, such as Apple ProRes codec MOV, and then you can edit the 7D video in Apple Aperture smoothly, after editing, you can upload to Smugmug for sharing with friends. Now, you can follow the easy steps below.

The easy way to import and edit Canon 7D 1080P/1080i MOV in Apple Aperture.
