Each week, The CFL on TSN panel will break down three hot button topics from around the Canadian Football League. Sam Koch Jersey . This week they discussed retired veteran you would bring back, which player has had the most frustrating year in 2012 and whos had the best breakout this season. First Down: What recently retired veteran would you sign to fill a gap: Willie Pile, Wes Cates, Doug Brown or call an audible? Doug Brown: I have to go with myself, naturally. Ive leaned down so much that I could play defensive tackle now. Im tired of wearing all this makeup here in the studio but I will tell you; theres a major problem. If you sign me to your team youll have to cut 3-4 players and have a major negative impact on your salary cap, so keep that in mind. Milt Stegall: Im going to go with Willie Pile. I like that hes versatile and can play linebacker, he can play safety, and hes a great special teams player. Somebody needs to give Willie Pyle a look. Chris Schultz: Im going to go with an audible and say nobody. The time has come and the time has gone. Were all has-beens. Second Down: Which player has had the most frustrating year in 2012: Cory Boyd, Jamel Richardson, Geroy Simon or call an audible? Stegall: Im going to go with Jamel Richardson. I know hes frustrated, last year leading the league with almost 1,800 yards, 11 touchdowns, 112catches, and then coming out this year and saying hes going to get 2,000 yards. He is struggling right now. Brown: I have to go with Cory Boyd for a number of reasons. He was the number two receiver in the CFL the last two years he played. Hes already been cut twice this year and that was after he was leading the CFL in rushing yards. Hes having a real tough go at it right now. Schultz: Im going to call my second audible. Im going to say Khalif Mitchel; dominant in 2011, suspended and injured in 2012. Talk about a frustrating season. Third Down: Whos had the best breakout in 2012; Andrew Harris, Kory Sheets, Chris Matthews or an audible? Brown: Im going to go with Andrew Harris. I thought he broke out last year; this year he exploded onto the field. Its crazy what hes accomplished already. Theres three games remaining for his season with the BC Lions and hes already eclipsed his record for all-purpose yards from the line of scrimmage. Hes having a tremendous season. Stegall: Ill have to go with Chris Matthews and I say this because hes a true rookie. Hes fresh out of college. Most Americans who come up have some NFL experience but Matthews was fresh out of college and the first true rookie to get 1,000 yards in a long time. Schultz: My third audible. Patrick Lavoie. Hes a receiver for the Montreal Alouettes and a second round pick. He is right now going from a football experience to a possible football career. Kelechi Osemele Jersey .J. Green, Houston Texans defensive end J.J. Watt and Tennessee Titans kick returner Darius Reynaud have been named the AFCs top players for the month of September. Terrell Suggs Jersey . -- The Boston Celtics made it official: Kevin Garnett is coming back as part of the teams efforts to keep key pieces after losing Ray Allen to the Miami Heat. http://www.thebaltimoreravensgear.com/torrey-smith-jerseys-1 . Donald Fehr, the NHLPAs executive director, had hoped to table a counter-proposal Thursday but instead called off the session to devote more time to drafting it. Torrey Smith Jerseys . The team also optioned right-hander Nate Adcock to Triple-A Omaha on Saturday. Holland is 0-2 with an 11.37 ERA in seven appearances. Authentic Torrey Smith Jersey . The Toronto Blue Jays acquired pitchers J.A. Happ, Brandon Lyon and David Carpenter in a 10-player deal with the Houston Astros.CHICAGO -- Chris Sale had time to catch his breath. Now, maybe, hes locked in. Sale pitched eight solid innings, Paul Konerko and Gordon Beckham homered late, and the Chicago White Sox beat the Kansas City Royals 4-2 on Monday night. "I went through a little dead arm period, but its par for the course," Sale said. "Its all behind us now. Weve got a couple months left and were going to have to make a push and its not going to be easy." The margin for error is slim, with a 1 1/2-game lead over Detroit for the AL Central lead. The Tigers are playing well, but so are the White Sox. And they pulled this one out thanks to a strong start by their pitcher and some big hits toward the end. Konerko tied it leading off the seventh and Beckham gave the White Sox a 3-2 lead with a solo shot in the eighth off Luis Mendoza. Kevin Youkilis added an RBI double in the inning, and the White Sox won for the 10th time in 13 games. A.J. Pierzynski added two hits, and although he didnt go deep after tying a club record with homers in five straight games, he did drive in the first run with a double in the second. Sale (13-3), meanwhile, looked sharp on nine days rest, allowing two runs and eight hits while striking out seven without a walk. He gave up solo homers to Jeff Francoeur and Billy Butler, but otherwise kept the Royals off-balance, with his fastball consistently in the mid-90s mph. Sale was passed over during the last time through the rotation. The White Sox wanted to give him more rest in his first year as a starter. "It gives you a little bit more time to recover and catch your breath, I guess you could say, but youve still got a couple of months left," Sale said. "Youve just got to keep going with it." The Royals were impressed. "If he stays healthy he has a chance to win a bunch of ballgames in his career," Francoeur said. Addison Reed worked the ninth for his 20th save in 23 chances, retiring Eric Hosmer on a double-play grounder with runners on first and second to end tthe game. Ravens Ed Reed Jersey. Mendoza (5-Cool gave up seven hits and four runs in 7 1-3 innings. Butler made it 2-1 in the seventh with his 21st homer. Konerko tied it in the bottom half with a line drive to left that just cleared the wall and landed in the bullpen. The Royals had runners on first and third in the eighth, but Sale got out of it. Shortstop Alexei Ramirez made a diving stop on Alex Gordons soft liner. Sale tagged out Tony Abreu trying to score on Alcides Escobars safety squeeze and struck out Lorenzo Cain on three pitches, pumping his left fist on the way to the dugout. "We know whats on the line and where we want to go," said Beckham, who hadnt homered since June 20. "If were going to get there, everybodys got to step up and pitch in." NOTES: White Sox LHP John Danks had surgery on his left shoulder on Monday, and the team expects him to be ready for the start of spring training. Danks arm is expected to be in a sling for a month. Doctors at Chicagos Rush University Medical Center repaired a capsule tear and removed debris in the rotator cuff and biceps. ... Chicago manager Robin Ventura said LHP Francisco Liriano sustained no real lingering effects after being struck in the right quadriceps by Maicer Izturis one-hopper in the fifth inning against the Los Angeles Angels on Sunday. Liriano left after five innings. ... Royals manager Ned Yost would not comment on a pregame meeting in the clubhouse. "Its a meeting between us," he said. "If I wanted you guys to be part of the meeting, I would have invited you." ... The Royals held 3B Mike Moustakas out of the lineup for the second straight game because of a lingering bone bruise on his right knee. He first hurt his knee on a fielding play in the first inning July 28 at Seattle. ... Gordon was back in the Kansas City lineup, leading off and playing left field, after sitting out his first game of the season on Sunday. ... Jake Peavy starts Tuesday for Chicago, with Bruce Chen pitching for the Royals. ' ' '
