Wireless and Mobile News reports that when a 1st generation iPhone owner upgrades to iPhone 3G the old iPhone's call capabilites are castrated and killed. The new iPhone killer is the iPhone 3G. You can't put a new SIM in the old iPhone or give it to a buddy to use as phone. It still works as web browser or music player. Don't bury it.
