I'm sharing my cable connection from my iMac to my iPad, the iPad will see the wifi and worked fine before until a few days ago. Even with 3.2.1, a restore, a DFU restore the ipad won't get online. It sees the SSID and the password works correctly. Even displays full signal, but Safari and all apps report being offline. After the restores it leads me to believe its a router issue, only it worked fine before.
