If you are in the U.S. and have AT;T as a carrier dial *3282# from your iPhone, (pretty sure it is for all their users, but I only have an iPhone. This will request the data used from their server, AT;T, and you will get a text telling you how many MB you have used since your last billing cycle and when your next billing cycle will start. I used it every day as I have the 2GB plan. Finally, I have it set up as a 'favorite' so all I do is tap it and I will get a text in under five second. I hope this helps you fight the battle, I know this definately helps me. iPad to iTunes I have been using lithium poly batteries for the past few years in RC aircraft and it's a well known fact that you never want to discharge your lipo batteries. Discharging a nickel cad battery is correct but never a lipo. Lipo's don't fair well if they go below 3 volts per cell, it will actually damage them. I assume Apple's products probably auto shutdown when that voltage is reached to protect the lipo's. It's also recommended that if you are not going to use a lipo for an extended period do not leave them fully charged. The ideal storage voltage is 3.8 volts per cell.
