The upgrade will NOT fix this.The issue is, in short, that the genius who designed the software for this phone decided it was smart to directly tie your iPod volume to the Ringer volume.Turn your ringer to full, then go to your ipod, play a song, and turn down the volume.Now go back to your ringer volume and it will probably be down.
